Based on Naya Koutroumani’s short story “Underground”, the film presents the life of F., who lives in the abyss of the underground world. The plot takes place in the countryside and unfolds in two different levels: the pitch dark underground and the colourful farmland above. Through F.’s narration we follow his struggle to escape from the darkness of this world. In this dark, dystopian universe only the fittest survives. And the fittest of this world is a villain. A relentless worm. A killer, who is constantly chasing after our hero. As F. fights his way out, he meets another soul, a female, buried near him. His struggle becomes more intense in his effort to help her. F.’s only ally is the rain. A female voice which guides, encourages, and comforts him. Rain is his only hope. Will F. escape the worm’s jaws? Will he save himself and his beloved?
