Worksop is intended for students and young professionals starting their career with basic skills of: sculpting, mouling, fabricating, silicone/foam technique. Communicative ability to use English is required. The workshop is free of charge.

A stop motion puppet building workshop for those with some previous experience wishing to advance their skills and knowledge of puppet building.

Originally from Derbyshire, Andy Gent moved to London in 1991 to study illustration and graphic design at Kingston University. It was here he first discovered stop-motion animation. After leaving University and freelancing in all areas of stop-motion fabrication he found his passion was in puppet design and construction. His most recent film collaborations include Ari Foleman’s “The Diary of Anne Frank” (2019), “The French Dispatch” (2019) or “Isle of dogs” (2018) as well as “Miss Peregrines School for Peculiars” (2016), “The Grand Hotel Budapest” (2014), “Frankenweenie” (2012), “Fantastic Mr. Fox” (2009), “Coraline” (2009), “The Corpse Bride” (2005). Andy runs his own multi award winning puppet-character and set making studio, AMS, in Hackney Wick East London.
