Tuesday, 6th of October, 16:00-18:00
Event is open on ANIMARKT platform.
Edu and Kat will present different case studies about how camera movement in stop motion animation has been achieved. As there isn't much "off the shelf" equipment for stop motion, it often calls for innovation and collaboration with different departments. They will present various options from sophisticated motion control rigs to hand made solutions.
About the lecturers:
Kat Woodtli is a Swiss/Czech camera assistant living in Berlin, working in London. She started off in live action, but has specialised in stop motion. She has worked on various commercials and feature films such as Tim Burton’s Frankenweenie (2012), Wes Anderson's Fantastic Mr. Fox (2009) and Isle of Dogs (2017). She also teaches workshops for kids.
Edu Puertas is an animator, puppet maker, visual engineer and the co-founder of Citoplasmas Studio in Barcelona. He is currently developing a feature film called Olivia and the invisible Earthquake.
